Sanjeev Bhanot, The Yoga Scientist

Raised in the desert town of Sri Dungargarh in Rajasthan, India, Sanjeev Bhanot developed an early appreciation for the profound connection between body, mind and breath. Trained as a naturopath and yoga therapist in Delhi, he has dedicated his life to bringing the ancient wisdom of yoga into the modern world.

His remarkable career spans continents and cultures, working with organisations including UNICEF, WHO and the International Labour Organization, alongside Olympic athletes, healthcare professionals and communities facing extraordinary challenges.

From the set of Eat Pray Love to the pioneering Solar Impulse project in Switzerland, Sanjeev has shared his expertise in universities, hospitals and international retreats. Over 25 years ago, he founded Yogalife International, an academy that has since trained thousands of yoga practitioners.

A TEDx speaker and passionate advocate for the science behind yoga, Sanjeev collaborates with Humboldt University and the Max Planck Institute in Berlin, exploring the connections between yogic philosophy, neuroscience and mental health.

Known as The Yoga Scientist, Sanjeev combines ancient knowledge with contemporary scientific understanding, driven by a simple belief: that everyone has the potential to improve their health through greater awareness of their body and mind.
