The Science.

The evidence behind the Experience.

Estelle isn't built on trends. It's built on a growing body of research into how the nervous system responds to sustained pressure, and what helps it recover.

Today's World.

We are constantly "on". Our phones ping us messages, day and night. The emails are relentless. Social media makes us feel inadequate. AI might be a threat. Geopolitical and economic uncertainty. The list goes on and on.

A demanding situation doesn't just feel relentless. It has a direct impact on how our mind and body function. Sustained activation of the sympathetic nervous system keeps the body running in a state it was never designed to hold indefinitely.

Left unaddressed, this shows up as:

  • Elevated cortisol and high blood pressure
  • Poor sleep and reduced emotional regulation
  • Impaired memory and concentration
  • Inflammation and reduced resilience

Over time, sustained cortisol elevation is associated with more serious outcomes, depression, anxiety, cardiovascular disease, metabolic dysfunction, and burnout.

Loneliness and longevity.

Loneliness is becoming one of the biggest issues in our society and is said to be the equivalent of smoking 15 cigarettes a day. Remote and hybrid working, digital lifestyles including social media interaction, and dispersed families are some, but not all, of the contributory factors.

Lifespans are increasing (currently around 83 years for women and 79 for men in the UK) but healthy life expectancy is much lower, around 62 years for men and women in England. How would you like to live the last stage of your life?

Why Exercise Alone Isn't Enough.

Many people are already active. Gym memberships, marathons, cycling, golf. And yet insomnia, elevated cortisol, anxiety and hypertension often persist regardless.

The reason is simple: exercise is stimulating, not regulating. It's excellent for cardiovascular health and resilience, but it elevates cortisol and adrenaline and reinforces a high-performance state.

Yoga and breathwork work differently, training the body's capacity for parasympathetic recovery rather than adding another form of stimulation. It's why elite sports people incorporate yoga alongside strength and performance training, not instead of it.

A Portfolio Approach to Health.

We look at health management the way a good adviser thinks about a portfolio: integrated and diversified, not dependent on a single asset.

For example, running is excellent until you're mid-crisis and can't leave the room, or an injury takes it off the table entirely. Relying on one technique is a concentration risk. Estelle curates across breathe, sleep, food and movement, the four levers everyone can influence daily, so there's always a tool available, whatever the moment demands.

What this means for individuals.

Research consistently shows how integrating the four pillars of life, breathe, eat, move, sleep, has a directly positive effect mentally and physically. Coupled with exercise, they are a winning combination.

  • Breath improves sleep
  • Sleep improves cognitive function and restores rest and digest state
  • Movement through yoga and dance calms the nervous system, improves fitness and wellbeing
  • Eating a good quality diet directly improves the mind and body

What this means for organisations.

Evidence-based health management isn't a perk. It is a necessity. The benefits speak for themselves.

  • Risk mitigation and burnout prevention
  • Higher resilience under sustained pressure
  • Workforce retention and employee engagement
  • Cognitive clarity and better decision quality
  • Improved long-term performance

It's also the cheaper decision. The cost of investing early in people is consistently lower than the cost of the alternative. Prevention rarely makes headlines the way a crisis does. And that can impact reputation.
